More driving pleasure in all new Mazda6

Mazda hopes to take the ‘joy of driving’ to an all new level with its all new Mazda6 saloon, which premiered this week at the Moscow International Motor Show.
Following in the footsteps of the Mazda CX-5, the all new Mazda6 is the second vehicle from the Japanese car maker to adopt the full range of SKYACTIV technology, which offers greater fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance, and the ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design language.
Mazda claims the new Mazda6 will offer outstanding environmental performance, helped by the new i-ELOOP technology. Mazda says this unique brake energy regeneration system begins charging a capacitor immediately after the driver takes his foot off the accelerator. This energy can then be used to power the electric components in the car, thus resulting in improved fuel economy.
Mazda6 program manager, Hiroshi Kajiyama said: ‘Mazda’s superb engineering and craftsmanship have realised a car that handles so well it seems to respond directly to the driver’s intentions rather than the physical manipulations of steering, braking and accelerating.
‘In short, the new Mazda6 offers the “joy of driving” that people have come to expect from Mazda, but the experience starts even before you get behind the wheel and lingers long after the drive is over.’
The all new Mazda6 is expected in Ireland sometime early next year and pricing, engine sizes and trim specifications will be announced closer to that time.
