Hyundai i20 gets a facelift

Increased standard specification, lower emissions and better fuel consumption is what Hyundai is offering in its new look i20 model, which has arrived in Ireland with a 6-speed manual 1.1-litre diesel engine and a 5-speed manual 1.2-litre petrol engine.
As well as lower CO2 emissions and better fuel consumption in both engines, the new Hyundai i20 also offers a nine per cent increase in power in the petrol option.
Standard specification has also been improved, to now include automatically dimming rear view mirror with reversing rear view camera; rear parking assist and reversing sensors; Aux, USB and iPod connectivity, plus voice activated Bluetooth.
Managing director of Hyundai, Stephen Gleeson said: ‘The new i20 brings a new level of specification previously unavailable to the B segment.
‘The combination of the market’s most fuel efficient engine, highest specification level and five-year unlimited mileage Manufacturer Warranty makes the i20 a must for consideration for anyone buying a compact family car.’
Prices for the facelift Hyundai i20 start from €15,495 for the 5-door petrol Elite Plus model and from €16,995 for the same spec diesel.
