The new Kia Carens compact MPV will reach Irish showrooms next week.
Kia says the new seven-seater is narrower, shorter and lower than its predecessor but still manages to offer generous cabin space, with the low stance giving it a more sporty appearance.
The same 1.7D engine that powers the Kia Sportage is also used in this model.
Three trim levels are available in the new Kia Carens – TX, EX and Platinum.
Standard spec on the entry level TX model includes voice activated Bluetooth, steering wheel mounted audio controls, electric windows, cornering lights, LED daytime running lights, alloy wheels and a rear spoiler.
Move up to the mid-level EX trim and you also get auto light controls, dual zone air conditioning, seat back tables, rear view camera and rear parking sensors.
Meanwhile, the top of the range Platinum model includes leather upholstery, heated seats and a panoramic sunroof.
Prices for the all new Kia Carens start from € 26,490.
