The new Peugeot 108 arrives in Ireland in January.

The predecessor of the Peugeot 107, the new model is described by Peugeot as ‘a compact runabout that’s exceptionally user-friendly for day-to-day motoring’.

‘Affordable quality’ is a key consideration, it said.

The new four-seater will initially be offered as a five-door with a choice of Active or Allure trims, with up to 11 personalisation themes.

The car will be powered by a 1.0 litre 68bhp or a 1.2 litre 82bhp PureTech petrol engine and both manual and ecomatique automatic gearboxes will be available.

An entry-level three-door Access model will arrive later.

Peugeot says the new Peugeot 108 can comfortably seat four occupants and has a bigger boot with a lower loading lip than the outgoing model. A spare wheel comes as standard.
