Prices and specs for the new Peugeot 2008 Crossover will be announced closer to its Irish launch date

The new Peugeot 2008 Crossover should be on Irish roads this summer, the French car manufacturer has said.

The new model is based on the Peugeot 208 and Peugeot hopes it will attract new customers to the marque.

The Peugeot 2008 Crossover has a length of just 4.14meters.

Peugeot says it ‘combines the driving characteristics of a hatchback with the strengths of an SUV to allow space, modularity and comfort’ and will be as much at home on city streets as on the open road.

It will be available in the latest e-HDi diesel and new 3-cylinder petrol engines, with CO2 emissions starting from 99g/km.

The sporty design of the new crossover has an international dimension to it with engineers and stylists from Paris, Shanghai and Sao Paulo collaborating on the vehicle.

The new Peugeot 2008 Crossover will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Prices and specs for the Irish market will be announced closer to launch.
