Renault launches car cost calculator

Renault is hoping to tempt drivers into a new Renault when they see the running cost comparison on carculator.ie

Renault Ireland has linked up with Motorcheck.ie in a bid to tempt drivers out of their older cars and into a new Renault by outlining the difference in running costs.

Carculator.ie calculates the cost in running your current car, based on your car reg and details including the current number of miles on the clock and your average annual mileage.

It then offers estimates on fuel, tax, servicing, repairs, tyre costs and NCT costs and compares them with a new Renault.

Shane Teskey of Motorcheck.ie said: ‘The feedback we are getting since going live with carculator.ie shows that the majority of carculations demonstrate that new Renault vehicles compare very favourably against older, less efficient cars on the road.’

Renault Ireland managing director, Julien Lelorrain said: ‘Our new marketing campaign showcases the desirability of our new models and the addition of the carculator.ie highlights the affordability and low running costs of the Renault range.

‘We encourage motorists to carculate and see just how much their current model is costing them to run on an annual basis.’
