Prices for the new Skoda Citigo start from €9,995

Skoda’s new city car, the Citigo has finally arrived in Ireland.

The Citigo is the Czech car manufacturer’s first venture into the small car market.

Both three-door and five-door models will be available, with prices starting from €9,995.

There’s also a choice of two petrol engines – a 1.0l 60bhp or a more powerful 1.0l 75bph option. Both fall in to the Band A tax bracket.

While a manual gearbox is the norm in the city car segment, Skoda is also offering a ASG 5-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the automatic start from €10,745 and Skoda Ireland Head of Marketing, Raymond Leddy believes there is a demand for such an offering.

He added: ‘The Citigo will appeal to a wide range of motorists, from the family looking for a viable second car to the more mature motorist seeking a small car with comfort and efficiency, to the first time buyer who is looking for new car technology at an affordable price.’

The Citigo has also achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

To mark the arrival of the Citigo, Skoda Ireland has created a finance option which offers 1.99% APR over three years and also includes three year’s servicing, warranty and roadside assist, from €99 per month. Terms and conditions apply.
