The new entry level Skoda Octavia diesel engine is €700 cheaper than the previous entry level one
Prices for the Skoda Octavia diesel will now start from €21,745 with the introduction of a new entry level model.
The new addition features a 1.6 TDI 90 bhp diesel engine and is €700 cheaper than the best selling 1.6 TDI 105bhp. It attracts annual road tax of €190.
Skoda said the new model ‘offers buyers less concerned with performance the option to upgrade to better equipped models for a similar price’.
Skoda Ireland head of marketing Raymond Leddy added: ‘This was a very popular choice in the previous generation of the Octavia and now looks set to command a large portion of Octavia sales, as it will offer a lower price-point for buyers.’
