The Peugeot RCZ is a stunningly beautiful car and is certain to turn heads

With its distinctive looking exterior and luxurious interior, the Peugeot RCZ is so good, it’s gone straight to the top of my Christmas wish-list.

The RCZ is a stunning, eye-catching car.

With its muscular rear end, curved, black glass roof and rear spoiler, getting into the RCZ felt a little bit like sliding into the Batmobile.

Inside, the all leather interior is the epitome of luxury.

The stitched leather surround is complemented by a glossy black centre console, leather seats and steering wheel.

For some reason, there are two clocks in the RCZ, one digital and one analogue.

As well as radio/CD/USB, the RCZ has cruise control/speed limiter, Bluetooth, heated front seats, parking sensors back and front, and dual air conditioning.

Lights and wipers are automatic, although I did have to turn to manual wipers when driving in a torrential downpore.

Billed as a four seater, the RCZ’s front seat area is spacious and the seats are really comfortable with a lovely driving position.

The back seats, however, are so cramped only a small child would get any kind of enjoyment sitting there. They do however fold, adding space to the already massive boot.

The RCZ is a beautiful, fun, powerful car to drive – it wasn’t named the Irish Performance Car of the Year for nothing, you know.

There was a lovely roar from then engine in the six speed 2l manual model I was driving and while posing around town and soaking up the admiring glances was fun, it just begged to be taken out on the open road.

Of course, the only downside is you’ll have to always make sure you’re looking your best while travelling in this car because it’s a definite head-turner.

The Peugeot RCZ is available in 1.6l petrol or 2l Diesel.

The diesel model I was driving costs from €37,395. Prices for the petrol model start from €42,695.
