The new Dacia Sandero is available in Ireland for less than €10,000

‘Eliminating the unnecessary’ and concentrating on simplicity has allowed Dacia to bring its new supermini, the Dacia Sandero, to Ireland with a price tag more associated with a city car.

The five-door Dacia Sandero was launched to the Irish market today, with prices starting from €9,990.

Described by the Romanian car manufacturer as offering ‘impressive cabin space for up to five adults and a boot capacity of 320litres’, the Dacia Sandero is available in two trims in Ireland – Alternative and Signature.

Standard spec on the entry level Alternative trim includes daytime running lights, height adjustable headrests, electric front windows, 60/40 split folding rear seat, with an infotainment offering that includes radio/CD/MP3/USB and Bluetooth.

Standard safety features include four airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA).

Move up to the higher Signature spec and you can add a leather steering wheel, cruise control, manual air conditioning, front fog lights and rear electric windows as standard.

The Dacia Sandero is available in a range of petrol and diesel engines, including the TCe 90 petrol engine.

Julien Lelorrain, Marketing Director, Dacia Ireland, said that the arrival of Dacia has changed how people think about cars.

He said: ‘For the first time, recession struck customers on lower budgets no longer have to make do with a second-hand vehicle.

‘Reliability is a Dacia fundamental, central to the trust-based relationship we have with our customers.

‘The brand is generous, reliable, simple and smart and these are the reasons why it is the fastest growing brand in Europe.’

The Dacia Sandero is available to buy now, with prices starting from €9,990. It also comes with a three year/100,000km warranty.
