Fiat offers ‘simply more’ in new 500L

Fiat says the new 500L can comfortably seat five adults and carry five suitcases
The new Fiat 500L is now available in Ireland, with prices starting from €21,750.
Fiat describes the new five-door mini MPV as one which ‘combines the 500’s unique personality, style and image with added practicality, capability and size’.
The new model, which Fiat says is the ‘spiritual successor to the 600 Mulitpla, is longer than the Punto and as wide as the Bravo, yet looks like the popular Fiat 500.
The Italian car manufacturer says the 500L is spacious enough to accommodate five adults as well as five suitcases.
The Fiat 500L is the first car in the company’s range to use the new UConnect touch screen infotainment unit, which allows phones and media players to be connected to the car and controlled via the touch screen, steering wheel or voice control.
It also has City Brake Control, which prevents fender benders by stopping the car if it detects a low speed collision.

Options also include a built-in Lavazza coffee maker and a Beats by Dr Dre sound system.
The new Fiat 500L is available in two trims in Ireland – Pop Star and Lounge – and with a choice of three engines, an 875cc 105hp TwinAir Turbo, a 1.3-litre 85hp and 1.6-litre 105hp MultiJet 2 turbo diesel. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available in the 1.3-litre engine.
Standard spec includes cruise control, air conditioning, leather steering wheel with audio controls, height and reach adjustable steering wheel and height adjustable driver’s seat.
Meanwhile, move up to the Lounge trim and you also get dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic lights and wipers with rain sensors, 16” alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, fog lights and rear electric windows.
Prices for the Fiat 500L Pop Star TwinAir model start from €21,750 and the 1.3 MultiJet costs €750 extra.
