Prices for the Mazda3 hatch start from €21,595

The all-new Mazda3 will be available to order in Ireland from next month, for January 2014 delivery.

Available in both hatchback and saloon body types, the all new Mazda3 is offered with a Skyactiv-G 100PS petrol engine or a 150PS diesel.

Trim levels include the traditional SE, Executive and Executive SE specs, as well as the new GT/Platinum grades.

The latter includes 18” alloy wheels, a nine speaker surround sound Bose system, front and rear parking sensors and a head-up display.

The new MZD Connect in-car connectivity system also debuts in the all new Mazda3. The Japanese car company says the unit is ‘designed for straightforward and above all safe operation’.

It allows users to access Twitter, Facebook, podcasts, digital radio stations and web based content.

In terms of car safety, the all-new Mazda3 features Smart City Brake Support, which helps to prevent low speed collisions, and hill hold assist, which prevents roll back on a slope.

A choice of nine exterior colours is available in the Mazda3, including the Soul Red metallic which debuted on the new Mazda6. New colours Titanium Flash and Deep Crystal Blue are also offered.

Mazda Motor Ireland managing director, Tony Howarth said the new Mazda3 ‘truly embodies the spirit of Mazda’.

He added: ‘The new generation Mazda3 offers not only a more powerful and fun drive but more importantly, a more economical and safer one.’

Prices for the all-new Mazda3 range start from €21,595 for the entry level SE petrol hatchback, with diesel prices starting from €25,295. Saloon prices start from €23,795.
