New petrol engine choices make the new Citroën C3 more fuel efficient

The new Citroën C3 has arrived in Ireland, with prices starting from €16,045.

Boasting new exterior styling and a new PureTech VTi 68 petrol engine, the new Citroën C3 can deliver up to 300km more per tank compared to the previous petrol engine.

This, Citroën says, is 37 per cent more efficient, and class leading economy.

The petrol engine line up, available in 1.0litre and 1.2litre capacities, also includes a new VTi82 PureTech engine.

Meanwhile, diesel offerings include a HDi 70 manual or the e-HDi 70 EGS, which has the latest micro-hybrid technology.

Fuel emissions range from between 87g CO2 to 127g CO2, depending on the engine choice.

Citroën also promises ‘a compliant ride’ and a quiet and spacious cabin in the new C3. It also says it’s ‘perfect for in-town driving’, having a turning circle of 10.8m.

Citroën is also offering three years free servicing for a limited period.
