The all-new Fiat Panda 4×4 has better on-road manners than its predecessor

Fiat has announced details of the all new Fiat Panda 4×4, which will make its international debut at the Paris Motor Show.

The only all-wheel drive city car, the new Fiat Panda 4×4 promises improved performance, emissions and economy in both its petrol and diesel models.

Fiat also says the new Panda has improved off-road ability and on-road manners.

The new Fiat Panda 4×4 will be powered by two engines, the 75hp 1.3 MultiJet II Turbo-Diesel and the 85hp TwinAir Turbo. Both come with Stop&Start as standard.

Hill start performance has been improved in the TwinAir Turbo, thanks to a six-speed manual gearbox with low-range first gear.

While the old version of the Panda 4×4 was a sales success in Ireland for Fiat, the car manufacturer has not yet decided whether to release the new version here.

It will make that decision later in the year, based on 2013 VRT and Road Tax revisions.
