Peugeot has revealed images of the new Peugeot 308 SW ahead of its official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The new estate model has been completely restyled and features Peugeot’s iCockpit interior, with the small steering wheel and floating instrument panel debuted in the Peugeot 208.

Peugeot says the new 308 SW is lighter and more efficient that the outgoing model.

Both petrol and diesel Euro 6 engines will be available from launch, including the BlueHDi variant, which attracts €170 annual road tax.

Peugeot describes the new 308 SW as ‘a sporty estate car’, and says its cabin is spacious, bright and airy.

Rear seats can be lowered with one action, resulting in ‘a perfectly flat floor’, it adds.

The new Peugeot 308 SW is expected in Ireland in July and Irish specifications and pricing will be announced closer to launch. The Peugeot 308 hatchback is available now.
