Skoda has unveiled the new Skoda Superb, a car it’s describing as ‘the best Skoda ever’.

It said the new model has ‘revolutionised the design of the brand’.

‘Generous dimensions, innovative assistance systems for safety, the environment and comfort, powerful EU6 engines and Skoda-typical Simply Clever features have moved the brand’s flagship to the upper end of the automotive mid-class segment,’ it added.

The new Superb is longer than the outgoing model, with more leg-, head- and elbow-room in the already spacious cabin. The interior has been redesigned and the boot in the latest generation is bigger than the outgoing one. The new Superb also has more efficient engines.

Among the 29 Simply Clever features are umbrellas in each of the front doors, a mechanically retractable towing device, a tablet holder in the back and a tablet storage area in the front Jumbo Box.

In-car connectivity includes the Columbus system with a high-speed internet connection; MirrorLink technology which allows a user to access apps from their smartphone via the car; Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

‘The new Skoda Superb demonstrates our aspirations in the automotive mid-class segment.

‘In terms of creativity and technology, it reaches a new level of performance, shows Skoda’s reclaimed position and leads the way into the future of the brand. This fantastic car will attract new private and business customers to Skoda.’
