Nissan hopes to set pulses racing with new Pulsar hatch

The new Nissan Pulsar will arrive in Irish showrooms in October.

A replacement for the Nissan Almera, the new model will be available in three trims – the XE, SV and SVE.

Air conditioning, electric windows, Start and Stop, tyre pressure monitoring and a five-inch Advanced Drive-Assist Display are standard.

Nissan says the family hatchback has the best rear legroom in its segment, ‘comfortably eclipsing its rivals and outshining a number of cars in the class above’.

Two engines will be available, a 1.2-litre 115bhp DIG-T petrol unit and a 1.5-litre dCi diesel, and prices start from €19,995 for the entry level petrol unit.
