Legroom in the new Range Rover has been increased by more than 118mm.

A ‘sensation of serene isolation’ is the feeling Land Rover is setting out to achieve in the all new Range Rover.

Lighter, stronger and more refined, the Range Rover claims to be the world’s ‘finest luxury SUV’.

Its revolutionary lightweight all-aluminium monocoque body structure is 39 per cent lighter than that of the outgoing model, leading to improved CO2 emissions and fuel economy.

Noise levels have been significantly reduced and a new suspension architecture has resulted in a more luxurious ride comfort and refinement.

Legroom in the all new Range Rover has been increased by more than 118mm, mainly benefiting rear occupants. A new two-seat Executive Class rear-seating package option will also be available.

The new Range Rover has also been put through punishing on- and off-road tests in all sorts of conditions.

Land Rover Global Brand Director, John Edwards said: ‘The new Range Rover preserves the essential, unique character of the vehicle – that special blend of luxury, performance and unmatched all-terrain capability.

‘However, its clean sheet design and revolutionary lightweight construction have enabled us to transform the experience for luxury vehicle customers, with a step change in comfort, refinement and handling.’

The new Range Rover will be available next year with a choice of refined V8 petrol engines and TDV6 and TDV8 diesel engines. Prices have yet to be announced.
