Renault has begun teasing its new crossover, ahead of its official unveiling next week.

The French company said the sound and spelling of the new Renault Kadjar ‘have an exotic feel which suggests adventure and discovering new horizons’.

Breaking down the name, it said the KAD is ‘inspired by “quad” – representing a go-anywhere four-wheeled vehicle’. JAR, it says, ‘recalls the French words “agile” and “jaillir” representing agility and suddenly emerging from somewhere’.

The new model will be teased on Renault Ireland’s Facebook and Twitter channels over the coming days. It will be revealed on February 2.
