We loved driving the Ibiza ST so we’re quite excited about the new model, which features a revamped interior.

Inside, there’s a new dashboard layout, a new steering wheel design and new upholstery.

The climate control panel also gets a redesign and Seat has managed to make the glove compartment bigger.

Meanwhile, outside you’ll notice a new honeycomb grille, new bonnet and bumpers, new cornering fog lights, new LED tail lights and an optional LED head lights.

Standard equipment on the Ibiza has also been improved, with the Special Edition model featuring new 15” alloy wheels, fog lights, Bluetooth functionality for telephone, USB and Aux connections and a multifunction steering wheel.

The new Ibiza is available in three body-styles, the 3-door SC, the 5-door, and the Sports Tourer version.

    Currently, there’s a choice of two engines, a 1.2-litre 70hp petrol or 1.2-litre 75hp diesel engines.

There are plans for a 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine 105hp and a 1.6-litre 105hp TDI to be added at a later date.

Brand director with Seat Ireland, Adam Chamberlain said: ‘The new Ibiza is a young, dynamic and innovative model and one that we feel will really appeal to young Irish motorists who value style and substance at an affordable price.’
