The Seat Leon Sports Tourer is available now, with prices starting from just over €20,000

Seat believes that drivers no longer have to choose between ‘thrilling sports character and everyday usability’ with the arrival of the Seat Leon Sports Tourer.

The Spanish car maker says this is the lightest compact estate on the market, and it has younger drivers in its sights.

It describes the Seat Leon ST’s design as ‘young and sporty’, and says it’s great fun to drive.

The car is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines, from a 1.2litre 86hp petrol engine to a 2.0litre 184hp diesel.

Three trim levels are on offer – S, SE and FR. The mid-level SE trim comes with cruise control, Bluetooth, rear electric windows, fog lamps with cornering light function and 16in alloy wheels.

Meanwhile, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and drowsiness detection are available as options.

Seat Ireland Director, Cian O’Brien said: ‘With its new sporty look, its high utility and its state-of-the-art technology, the Leon Sports Tourer defines a new standard in the compact estate car class at an exceptional price.

‘Like the already highly successful Leon and Leon SC, the new Sports Tourer is the perfect representative of Seat’s brand values.’

The new Seat Leon Sports Tourer is available now, with prices starting from €20,185.
