The new BMW 7 Series features enhanced comfort and performance

The new BMW 7 Series will hit Irish showrooms in late September.

With a focus on sporting elegance, refinement and comfort, the new saloon reinforces the German marque’s commitment to building the finest flagship model possible.

The new BMW 7 Series also combines enhanced performance with significantly reduced emissions and fuel consumption.

Outside, the main changes are to the rear and the front of the car, with the new 7 Series carrying the latest version of the famous BMW kidney grille.

Inside, newly designed seats increase the pleasure of travelling in the 7 Series.

Optional Comfort seats are also available, with a combination of either folding tables or a new rear seat entertainment system, which features 9.2-inch colour screens.

A further luxury is the option of individual rear Comfort seats, which allow for the electrical
adjustment for the seat back angle, seat position and head restraint.

Motorists will also appreciate the benefits of additional soundproofing in the cabin.

The 7 Series offers three driving modes – Comfort, Sport or ECO PRO, with colour and information display to match the performance selection.

A number of petrol and diesel engines will be available, with the flagship model being the BMW 760Li, which is powered by a 12-cylinder engine with twin turbochargers.

Taking just 4.6seconds to go from 0-100kph, the 760Li boasts 544hp and the top speed is limited to 250kph. C02 emissions are 314g/km, putting it in road tax band G.

The alternative flagship, meanwhile, is the BMW ActiveHybrid7. It offers 354hp, can accelerate from 0-100kph in 5.7seconds, and has a top speed of 250kph. Emissions are 158g/km, putting it in tax band D.

The new BMW 7 Series goes on sale in Ireland on September 22, with prices starting from €88,200 for the 730d SE. Prices for the top of the range 760Li M Sport start from €192,260.
