Toyota has repositioned the Avensis line up, upgrading the Luna and introducing a new Sol grade

Toyota has knocked nearly €2,500 off the price of the upgraded Toyota Avensis Luna grade.

The move comes as part of a repositioning of the line-up, which sees a new Sol grade and the discontinuation of the Strata grade.

The new Luna now offers dual zone climate control, dusk and rain sensors, Bluetooth hands free system, and the Toyota Touch 2 infotainment unit with rear view camera.

Leather Alcantara upholstery, 17in alloy wheels and power lumbar support on the driver’s seat are standard.

Meanwhile, standard features on the new Sol Grade include leather upholstery and heated front seats. It also has an electric steering column with memory, smart entry and a push button start.

Managing director of Toyota Ireland, David Shannon said: “The Avensis is one of our best-selling models and we are excited to announce the enhancement of our popular Avensis Luna Grade and the addition of the Avensis Sol grade to our range.

‘We are confident that the new levels of specification and the reductions in the retail price will continue to reward both long-standing and new customers.’

Prices for the new Luna grade now start from €28,995, with the Sol grade starting from €30,995.
