Volkswagen extends insurance offer

Volkswagen has extended its free motor tax and insurance offer on any new Volkswagen car until June.

The deal was launched in April and the company says the average saving for customers is just under €500.

Under the offer, car insurance is included free of charge for 12 months and the new car owner will also have their motor tax paid for the year.

Head of Sales and Marketing for Volkswagen Ireland, John Donegan said: ‘This is a no-brainer for Irish motorists.

‘Motor tax and insurance is always a considerable cost factor for consumers when they consider purchasing a car.

‘We are taking the pain of that cost away for 12 months and allowing them to focus on their car choice without having to scrutinise their already stretched budgets.’
