Out with the Golf Plus, in with the Golf SV

The new Volkswagen Golf SV will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month

The Golf SV is to replace the Golf Plus, Volkswagen has announced.

The new model will debut in production form at the Geneva Motor Show next month and is expected to be available in Ireland in July.

Volkswagen says the new Golf SV has a more flexible interior than the Golf Plus.

The new model will carry similar engine offering than the standard Volkswagen Golf range.

Volkswagen expects the 1.6-litre 110bhp diesel to be the most popular in Ireland.

Irish prices and specification will be announced closer to launch.
